I have found that my younger students (under 25) prefer working in groups. They are more comfortable in that model. However, when it comes time for them to be accountable with the knowledge they were supposed to have acquired, many defer that it was their partner's responsibility. So, whenever possible I have students work individually so that they pick up the skills that they will need in our industry.
