I'm very excited for this portion of our modules, because it gives clear guidance and grounded encouragement for the implementation of active learning in our classrooms.

Organization, organization and organization with a healthy dose of preparation.  I also took away a great many suggestions for how to actually implement active learning and promote critical thinking in my courses/teaching

My takeaway from this module has been the importance and emphasis on active learning for adult learners.

I am not alone in feeling nervous and unprepared (though I absolutely am and will continue to be).  Just maintain the preparation and planning, and make notes after class about anything that went particularly right or wrong.  Remember I am the SME, and have knowledge and understanding my students need to begin their own careers as nurses.

Being a psychiatric nurse helps when it comes to managing difficult people, but it is still good to have the opportunity to learn additional input and strategies on how to do so.

I really enjoyed this section of the course, because it helped give me a bit more insight into certain students and types of students, and recognize what I can and can't do to help them while maintaining the integrity of the course for everyone.

Introductions are vital to the start of any well-organized and effective class.  Know your students, show them "what's in it for them" in this class, and ensure they are well aware of expectations as well.

We as instructors have a duty to both know our students, and in doing so motivate them in their classroom work to not only succeed, but excel.
