Using varius technology tools allows the online teacher to fundamentally change the traditonal way that students learn. The use of technology improves student learning retention and allow student process at their pace.
Online classes should be well organized so that the student learner can navigate with ease. Taking online classes also promotes self-discipline and responsiblity.
As an online instructor effective communication is important; make sure that your message convey is the intended message. Effective and constant feedback is essential keeping the student learner on task.

Synchronous learning students are engaged in learning at the same time or real-time, whereas asynchronous learning is more learner-centered and allows learning to take place over a period time. Both can be utilized to accomodate student engagement.
Using various technolgies in an online class setting allows the teacher to use differentiation instruction to accommodate the needs of all students.
Multiple evaluations appears to be the perferred method for analyzing student progress in the course.
Providing feedback allows the student learner to determine areas of self-improvement. A rubric demystifies by making it easier and clearer for students plan and acheive their desired results.
It is impertive that your online syllabus is engaging and allows the student learner to naviagate with ease. Scaffolding allows students to move progressively throughout the course.
To appropriately relate content and subject matter to the student learner, it is incumbent that I have have a comprehensive and current understanding of using learning systems to facilitate the needs of my students.

Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
