It will take more than one kind of tool to effectively evaluate a course.

Rubrics lead to clear and concise assessments.

Peer engagement, Rubrics, and Assessments are important in the development of formative and summative assessments.  Students learn from their engagement and teachers learn how to build better assessments. Students become tutors with the work done in assignments where they are engaged with at least one other student.

It is important to have a clear and concise syllabus.  The syllabus must be dynamic in which if there is a change then make the change and let students know immediately.  Students come from different backgrounds so as a teacher it is very important to be detailed in creating an online class.

Be clear, and consistent when developing the course.  Be observant of whether students are understanding what is before them.  A video should be 10-15 minutes long not much more than that. Modules should stay the same.  When you quiz the unit/chapter it should all be consistent.

Keeping good records, firm rules, as well as communication, will help towards a great E-learning environment even if students either are difficult or easy to work with.

Making sure that as a teacher,r I am able to communicate well with students via email and organizing those records. I have learned from the reading is sticking to rules and regulations of the course, but be flexible enough to handle delicate situations.  Monitoring behavior conducive to a learning environment and addressing any disruptive behavior is important while adhering to the rules while working online.  As a teacher, we may have to counsel a student.  It is appropriate to make sure there is a safe place in doing so.

I have learned that with synchronous is better when there are short discussions and that Asynchronous is best used when a teacher is making sure that a student does understand a concept.

It is important to have students know who I am as their teacher.  This can be done short brief but effective.

 It is important to know the content and know it from different points of view.  Also, it is important to be available, flexible, and understanding.  To apply this, every instruction would be thoughtfully done, delivery would be clear, and any misunderstandings would be cleared immediately.
