Activity

Make a connection by learning the student's name. Show them that you care about them. Break the ice for you and all the students in the class.

Have a morning checklist and be prepared with a plan.

Be the example you wish your students to take on. Continue learning and growing to implement that information to them

Motivation is brought by both parties. With the instructor it has to be with the lectures, the information given to the student, the materials practiced, demonstrated, as well as the experiences. With the student, it has to be brought out. Make it exciting for them to want to come to class, be empathetic and understanding that we are all human and we have a life outside of school/work also. Be flexible, but motivate!

Share things or experiences with students. Keep the class lively, check in on them and yourself.

Have fun teaching, keep them as well as yourself engaged in the activities. If you're excited to learn/teach, they will be too.

Learn your students. They learn from you. They come to class to be taught something completely new to them. Everyone has different lives and struggles. We all learn and obtain information differently. This is my chance to connect with another human being that made a huge decision in their life, and I get to be a part of that.
