Demonstration

I prefer to do a demonstration on day one of the class to illustrate a new technique that students haven't been exposed to yet. This excites them about wanting to learn.

Demonstration come in handy when teaching new hands on skills. They work best went the students can follow through and work on the skills themselves. I use demonstrations when I teach the students to do compound meds, and to use the pharmacy equipment.

i agree. Showing the students something they might be able to preform or create by the end of the MOd or class excites them especially if it something they really wanted to learn to do.
