first impression

I like to surprise my students when we do introductions. I like to ask questions that most don't. Like what do you like to do for fun, what is your favorite movie/tv show, and other like that. Then answer the same questions. It makes everyone more relaxed and also sets up the room as a place where we can openly talk about issues.

Andrea,
This is a fun and comfortable way to work through the introductions. I know your students appreciate what they learn about each other and you during this time. It sets the stage for the upcoming classes.

I believe that your first impression is your best impression.

Okasamar,
So true and this is why it is so important to make a positive first impression.
