Technological Difficulties

When reading I saw a section on technical difficulties and I think those can be mostly avoided with enough practice. A lot of the difficulties stem from inexperience when trying to incorporate new technologies into the classroom. With enough testing, as well as a backup plan, such as bringing a flash drive with the materials as well as emailing a copy can prevent problems.

Richard,
This is such a good point. We instructors need to learn and practice as well when incorporating new technology. We need to be comfortable with it so we don't develop a case of the nerves is something should come up.

I agree that lack of familiarity can cause technical difficulties to arise. I know most of us know how to operate the equipment in our own home rooms, but what about the rooms we may often be moved to. Giving the new room a trial run before students arrive can save many awkward moments.

Duane,
This trial run can save a lot of frustration for yourself and your students. Knowing your equipment and that it is working helps to set the stage for a more relaxed class session and this transfers to the students.
