Learning styles
Teaching a class should incorporate all learning styles, auditory, written, visual, and kinestheic. I don't think anyone is completly one type of learning style. Having different activities for the class such as, reading outloud, participation in class debates, and group demos, gives everyone a chance to learn and even come out of there shell a bit.
I agree Rachelle,
Also role playing, questioning techniques (build for me, explain to me, demonstrate for me, draw out for me) and group projects I have found work well.
I agree, I also think it is important for the learners to know their learning styles so they can ask the instructor for items so the course fits their learning styles
I agree that teaching a class should incorporate all learning styles. that way it gives everyone a chance to learn and participate in activities.
using all styles are heplfull but some class may need more of one style then another, if teaching how to repair a computer there are many parts never seen and to try to use all styles you may miss very important steps that require a hands on knowledge. i should start with a style of teaching not only for student learning style but also consider class study style.
I agree that teaching class should incorporate all of the teaching style also this way every person has a chance to learn the way that suits them best.In a technical school demos are used alot but I try to ask if everyone understand and if they don't I will try all of the styles until they do.
