What kind of animators do you use? I am animated in class to get them moving around and looking at me while I speak keep the engaged and not falling asleep.

I think any kind of quick hit discussion questions that get them up & in pairs or trios is a great way to get them animated.

Yes, I think getting the students involved is key to their learning. Since one of the best ways to learn something is to teach it, I look for exercises that have students teaching one another.
