Adapting
I have had a few students with disabilities of which required an IEP. However, with encouragement, dedication, addition time and help each one has succeeded.
We all have some type of disability, finding out what it is and how to bring the challenge to the surface to adapt in every aspect of life...

I think, we as instructor we have to adapt to all the differents disabilities students may have,it is hard, but it pays off at the end when we see them succeed.
I agree. we need to be aware of the fact that matterial should be presented with as many different presentation styles as possible to help accomidate those who are weak in some areas of learning

this is a great point. We all tend to present information in the way that we prefer to learn. The more we can do to help the diversity of learners the better.

I can tell the first day of the course who need more help and I am not just helping them, also try to motivate them...and helped them so much..and I even seen some of my student even try to helping new students. because of there confedance.
I work at a tec collage it is hard to recognize the learning disabilities student. I just cannot ask my students by the raise of hands who here is in need. I would say it takes awhile to recognize the problem and deal with it properly. That is why we have a Computer Grade book where we can put confidential notes on our students with problems. Unfortunately I have the students first; this puts me at a disadvantage of a lack of information, also most of the notes teachers put in has to do with their tardiness.

this can definitely be a challenge. It also provides you with a great opportunity to help the instructors who will have these students after you.
