This is good for older instructors who are shy about using technology in their class

I believe that much of the "older instructor averse to technology" is a dying myth. The technology has simply become too easy to resist. At first, the internet itself was complex, the biggest advancements have come in the area of end user ease. I think the quick learning curve makes flipped classrooms beneficial for all.

To some extent I agree, but on the other hand some of US older instructors have had success via the old teaching methods.
