To Do lists

I'd be lost without my do-to -lists! Sticky notes work great for reminders & there is such a feeling of accomplishemnet incrossing the items off.
Having a list allwos me to prioritze things and stay focused.

Sticky notes are great Deb. I love the way you can easily arrange and rearrange them as tasks go from low to high priority.

To do lists really help me keep track in all that I need to do. Each Monday I start a small sheet with one side being my goals to accomplish that week and the other side is what I need to accomplish that day to conduct my class. I can cross off my daily tasks so I feel like I have accomplished something while still keeping in mind what needs to be done for the week.

I love sticky notes as well. I can post them in various locations depending on the tasks needing to be done, ie; computer tasks on the computer screen, filing tasks on folders or file cabinet, etc. Great way to remember things as well.

Indeed. Some computer desktops have electronic sticky notes as well.

I use large sticky notes filled with a long to-do list and stick them right next to my computer's keyboard so they cannot hide and serve as a constant reminder to me. I was pleased to see that my habit of re-writing my to-do list periodically was one of the suggestions in the module. I'm not good at writing out the urgency and importance of my tasks, but eliminating those tasks brings a sense of relief. I wonder if that means I feel the obstacle of insecurity.

Great Idea! I live by To Do Lists. I love the idea of putting the weeks on one side and the daily on the other. The long skinny sheets are helpful for this.

Indeed and I think this brings up a good point. Don't be afraid to modify your to do list paper size. Some people prefer a legal pad, but others prefer a giant post it note. Use the materials that work best for you.

I also need my daily sticky notes. I love the person wno invented them.

I too am a big fan of sticky notes because they can be rearranged reflecting the dynamic environment surrounding me. Reccently, I have also started carrying a small composition book in my back pocket so I can notate without forgeting things as they develop during the day.

It is good to know many instructors use sticky notes- I even make ones and put in my pocket to remind me of things to do when I get home- I have a master to do list and love crossing off things that I need to accomplish- makes me feel organized and you really "see" things getting done. I never leave things up to just remembering - a note gives me something tangeble and works well for me.

I need to look into this as I have never used this function- thanks.

A do do list is a good way to stay organized and prevents forgeting somthing important. It fells good to be able to cross off things that get done. And you can also look back and see how much you accomplished the past week.

Yes I agree Les. That's one of the reasons why I still like my pen and paper approach as opposed to the computer. With pen and paper I can cross things off and see what I've accomplished. It's a good feeling.
