Reducing stress
Knowing the source of our stress will help us to reduce it as much as possible.Talking about it with some one we trust, doing excersis, and also living in peace with every one around us will help us.Conflict is the maine source of stress in work place.
I think it is great that you have people with whom you have the confidence to entrust the issues that cause you trust. My school is currently going through a difficult period in its evolution and, unfortunately, information is being "mongered" which is definitely NOT a good thing.
Instead of reaching outward, I reach inward. I find that the power of prayer and introspection gives me an inner peace that permits me to press on through the day and evening. Moreover, I find that the inner peace that I derive from prayer and introspection gives me a degree of focus and direction that I could never derive from talking with my colleagues.
This is a challenging time at my school and it is necessary to be very circumspect with the information that one shares with colleagues. As a result, I keep my own council and recognize that I need to be as self-sufficient as possible.
Russell, It sounds like you have a personalized and healthy approach to dealing with all the changes in your environment. You are right, some of us benefit from reaching inward instead of outward. There is no single best approach in time management, only the one that works best for you.

I think that its great that you lean on your spirituality to help you through stressful times. I think that both sharing with others and speaking to God is helpful and healthy in keeping us grounded and as stress free as possible.
I tend not to have conflicts with others in the work place but when I do I confront it head and we discuss it and work it our so neither will have that stress. There are those times when I run across stress that I need to relieve and my outlet is shopping it relaxes me
