Slide Share is totally new to me but sounds like a great resource to use.

The current generation has been involved with technology their whole lives.  It only makes sense that we keep learning seamless and in the same format they are comfortable with to maximize retention of information.

Comment on matthew watkins's post: So true, simply using a slide show format to bring another angle to a subject could make a big difference.

I am very interested in bringing  bloging and vlogging to the classroom, to help solidifiy the knowledge that gets taught in class every day.

As a matter of fact, I introduce my students to a list of blogs and vlogs that directly pertain to the current studies in my class.  From the students that take a strong intrest in them. I always see positive results.

It is such a great tool for students to have to help them succeed.

I've learned to think about switching from a teacher centered approach, to a student centered approach. Where students are at the center of technology based learning.

I am very impressed I was unaware of all of the resources for presentations that are available for use, and I will definitely explore all of the ones mentioned. Coming from bedside care to educator I struggle with presentations that have been basically power point presentations that do not seem to connect with the student.

Using current forms of media will keep students more engaged and involved with classwork.

Presentations found on SlideShare are often used to conduct research and connect with others to collaborate on projects; users have the option of uploading content publicly or privately, so information can be shared with a small class or with students and educators from around the world.

I think that the information provided in this module about the tools for making presentations is very valuable and helps to refresh the potential of each one. Thank you!

Students using technology while learning has the added bonus of mastering needed skills used in the workplace. These students will be able to function in a professional environment and will have greater capability on career day one.

THere are a BUNCH of technologies that I am unfamiliar with--SlideShare, RSS Feeds, and Prezi are all new to me. I am making myself a goal to try Prezi for at least one of my online content slideshows this semester.

I loved the resources available in this section. I had not heard of Slideshare before or Google Read and RSS. I believe in working smarter, not harder, so having access to a wide range of already-created documents is efficient. It is also a great way to share our knowledge and experience. The ease of access and ability to build different digital libraries open many other avenues of learning for the students.

Wow!  I am surpried to learn that Power point presentations are becoming Not the standard for presenting information!  At ACC we use ATI as our platform for teaching/learning.  New information is presented by Power Point, along with case studies, watching videos & the introduction of Chat GPT!

I learned that there are many ways to utilize techno;ogy for instructional and personal use

I learned about the different apps and softwares that can assist in educating my students more effectively in using powerpoints but making them more engaging and stimulate more learning.

One key insight I've gained is the importance of utilizing various digital tools that facilitate collaboration and information sharing. Platforms like Google Drive, Trello, and Notion allow teams to work together seamlessly, regardless of their physical location. This fosters a more dynamic and inclusive learning environment where diverse perspectives can thrive.

I also learned that organizing information systematically can enhance retention and understanding. Tools such as mind mapping software or digital notebooks can help break down complex topics into manageable parts, making it easier to grasp and remember.

I had heard of some of these technologies, e.g., Prezi, but did not know how effective they can be. On the contrary, there are new technologies I have not heard about, e.g., Zoho Notebook.
