Course delivery helps with understanding.

Finding ways to reach students to engage with them is necessary to keep students on top of their assignments within the course. Not every student wants to engage in the same ways so it's important to determine what will work best for each student.

I learned as an online instructor there are several options to utilize to keep your students engaged.

It's extremely important to familiarize oneself (as instructor) with the support and technical platform that delivers the course online, as well as with the course content. Any failure or lack of clarity may discourage or even frustrate students on the their learning process. Instructors must be vigilant to intervene at the earliest possible moment, should any problem occurs or any students offers signs of disconnection.

When communicating with individuals make sure that all information given is clear and precise.

Not to elaborate on other programs before addressing the one selected by the student.

Ask yourself questions before responding to an email will it be negative or positive to the

organization or the task.

There are many ways an instructor can organize access to information for students.

Being familiar with the student experience is important for us to be able to help them navigate the system and be successful

There are several different methods of communication. There are also several different challenges when it comes to communicating. Therefore, you should always ensure the right task to be completed when taking on these challenges. I also learned that body language speaks louder than words or voice tone.

I understand it is important to know how to navigate the CMS system

Ensure I thoroughly review the course content and structure in advance to become well-acquainted with the material. Confirm that I have access to the student roster and all relevant coursework before the first day. Additionally, make it a priority to provide every possible learning resource and tool to support student success throughout the course.
