Consistency is key across the board when deveopling a course-module template. Break down the course and figure out the simple things, the easiest font to use, when to emphasize, length of modules, etc. Additionally, when adding things like graphics, audio and video, stay consitent, keep videos around the same length.
Creating consistency in your lesson materials is key. It helps all types of learners for a variety of issues.
I learned that it is important to stay consisent. Keep the module framework the same, so the students know where to find things. Test the course before to know what still needs to worked out.
I liked how the templates are adaptable to each teacher's style, the students' learninng style, and course requirements. I also like how the modules give the teacher a way to display to the students in a clear and concise manner what the course expetations are as well as how the students will be evaluated.
I liked how the templates are adaptable to each course, teacher style, student learning styles, and evaluation. The modules also allow the instructor to display to the studnts in a clear and concise manner that allows the students to have a deep understanding of what the course will entail.
More is not always the best delivery. Chunking may work better. Limit audio/video to + - 5-10 minutes.
Review of the importance of the use of LMS and platforms with learning objects and sites
I learned that coarse framework assists students learning, how important module consistency is and that learning objective databases help save time.
Following an outline of creating the course is important. Course flow will help students be successful.
Consistency is key when developing the modules. I faciliatate my Professional Learning Community. We had discussed dividing up the content of the planned modules, assigning parts to each instructor to create or modify and upload. That may not work, each of us has different styles when creating documents, powerpoints. I learned it might be better if we collaborate on building the modules within the decided framework, and allow our individuality to be reflected in what we upload to the Laarning Objects database. I also have marked down the importance of testing the modules to assure students can easily navigate them. I plan to ask some of my friends' children to test for me.
Chunking and scaffolding reinforce learning and provide learners with opportunities to form meaningful connections between concepts.
I believe it is important to understand your audience and what they need in a module. Consistency of methods when delivering instruction or evaluating knowledge gained is critical to student success. Course module to course module similarity when doing online instruction allows the students to develop a sense of comfort when learning a new subject.
I have learned that having a clear and understandable outline makes it easier for students to complete the objective of the course.
Students rely on module layout consistency to create non-verbal cues regarding expectations in completing the course. I will create a learning object database for future access when I develop future modules.
Consistance in the course from creating the module template to creating the module and the course is key - right down to font style and color of all information. Intructions need to be consistant throughout so the student can easily follow the flow of the module and course. Having a "warehouse" or database of objects is also a time saver for use through the course and in other similar courses - example: if student competency states "all students will create/update a resume" you can use this object/tool for all of your courses.

Yes module consistency is important to the students. I also teach that consistency at the work site when doing patient
care is extrmely beneficial to a smooth running office.
I began to learn about alternative ways to deliver the content. I am interested in more about this.
