Consistent and valuable feedback interaction is paramount for online learning. Also, integrating the ARCS writing technique when communicating with students is valuable: Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction.
It takes more than a mere email to connect with a student. Care has to be given with a email to ensure that one is acknowledging the student by name and acknowledge their emotions. Read carefully and read between the lines. I have to acknowledge their concern. Going forward, I will surely use emojis within my emails. I liked the response sequence as well.
I know that my communication with my students will be enhanced from reading this module.

It's important to collaborate with the students through acknowledging their presence, emotional state, and anxieties. Sometimes students need to find the answer themselves, but through collaboration we can help guide them to a better state of mind and into a place of learning.

Your written tone is very important when it comes to communicating with your students. Always be positive, affirming, and available for your students.
This course has helped me recognize, as an instructor, the areas that I can work on to help the students feel more connected to the course and to each other. Some of the areas I intend to work on are some of the holistic/personalized approaches for the start of the course, particularly setting up a virtual first day of class. I also will work on using positive words instead of negativity when addressing a group or an individual student.
Learning the language of positive online communication is a prerequisite for teaching as a whole in todays educational climate.
Communication is key , but also the way you communicate online is important.
The importance of having an online community is critical for students. The community can work together and give feedback as well. It a great way to build a team relationship as well.
