A five year plan not only forces each department to look at the institution and what it offers from every aspect, but also opens discussions to look at future potential problems such as inflation.

The five year plan gives a a glimpse into the future of education at our facility. It also gives current stakeholders representation as to what that future will look like.

Short, medium and long term planning are very important to complete the planned objectives. Without this planning it would also be very difficult to get started.

It is important to include a broad range of constituents to make the most out of the plan. 

I like the idea of a 5 year plan and having an Advisory Committee to help ensure the growth of the school. 

Having a 5 year plan should include everyone in the school and everyone providing input to know that the school will be in business for a long time. 

I've learned to pay attention to all the dependencies and coefficients when developing a 5-year plan.  It is important to have realistic and ambitious goals.

The 5 year plan with new and continuing enrollment projections will give early indications of staff and faculty growth needs.

This process must include all stakeholders, and includes a review of current program offerings and supports to ensure that they continue to respond to the needs of the local community and work force. 

It was quite good and refreshing to read through the section about the "why" and "how" of the five-year plan.

Although I witnessed similar activities, it is great to put words on the steps to cover during the process.
