I'm very fortunate in that I work for an institution that is very organized and uses several checklists to ensure we maintain compliance and best practices. We also have a review process so multiple people sign off to ensure nothing was missed.

Shauna,
Make the notebook your own and fill it with the information you need at your fingertips.

Annette,
Add any additional material you need to remain compliant and confident.

We also have a checklist for all documentation needed. There are two people that check every file for the required information.

Organizing my paper work is something i use to do but i have learned now more to appreciate the process, because of being given detailed information on this topic. It saves time and i'm more confident because i'm up to date and reaching my materials quickly.

Our school is currently using a SchoolDocs paperless system as well for enrollment. This begins as soon as students enter admissions and moves through financial aid andregistrar as well.

I have discovered the importance of a Resource Notebook and will be compiling this very useful tool immedately. Also, I have a greater knowledge due to this training of staying informed about the rules and regulations as it pertains to the admissions process and how it will ultimately benefit my school and assist prospects in their CLEAR understanding of their responsibilities to the school. The information contained in this training will become another extremely useful resource to me and it will be included in my Resource Notebook.

We use a binder with dividers and add all sections required.

We use a checklist that is attached to the student file. Then we pass it along to a second set of eyes for a second opinion.

A check list is good. I had a bad habit of just locating paperwork and filling it out. I needed the organization to have addmissions go smoother.

Michael,
Checklists are a great way to focus on compliance and have the second set of eyes is a must!
