prospective applicants
What is the importance of touring the institution with a prospective applicant? How would you handle this for an online only program?
Jeffrey,
The purpose of the tour is to create a sense of community from the onset. It bridges the school with the student in a tangible sense of experience. When you are on the online modality, it is more difficult because there is no brick-and-mortar building to experience. However, you can tour the website or the student portal with the student for that comfort zone.

And also the tour make the Students feel they belong to the institution already.
NANOUH,
The tour really cements in what the school is all about. When we talk about it it's one thing to experience it is another.

Jeffrey,
We offer both on-campus and online education and have found success in offering an on-campus and virtual tour, so everyone feels like part of our community. Even some of the distance learners want to come to campus to see the university. There are some great virtual tour offerings available right now. Have you tried on of them for your institution?
Kelly
I agree. The tour can really make or break the deal for potential students. By nature we are curious creatures and want to see and get a feel for the "hands on" aspect, what equipment they will be using, if the facility has enough supplies for students, are thing well maintained and running, etc.
Megan,
The tour is an opportunity to get up, walk around, and change up the admissions process. They get to see and feel everything you've been talking about.
