Enrollment and Admission Questions
Having working in higher education for 14 years, I have found very few students actually ask questions about the enrollment agree. Very often it is like someone buying a home or an automobile, where do I sign? The two primary questions are, in order, what majors do you offer? Then, do you have financial aid? Unfortunately, in the past five years, I have observed the shift, where the first question if often, do you have financial aid?
I agree. Students typically run through the paperwork as if it's just a formality. I think that we as admissions reps are tasked with slowing down the paperwork portion of the process to ensure students are mindful of their full responsibilities.
I think it is important to go through this information slowly, everyone gets caught up in just signing on the X and paying little attention- but this is an important process that needs to be fully understood.
