I believe that all three items are important characteristics in the financial aid process. Regardless of time, accuracy, or service, we as the provider have to be prepared for any of these situations in a calm manner. Keeping our data up-to-date is important when calculating the client's finances and doing the paperwork in a timely manner will make the work flow efficiently. At the same time, double checking and keeping accurate records will make the process go smoother. Finally, understanding the client is another main factor that will lead to a successful business. Understanding and going above and beyond the criteria amazes the clients which shows that our school is capable of delivering great customer service. Satisfaction is what makes the service impeccable.
Sandra,
Your answer reflects a well-rounded view of the various factors related to successful administation of financial aid. It is important to insure that your students are processed timely, accurately and with good customer service skills. The success or failure of any process is often attributable to missing one of these key components.
Best wishes in your continued online education process.
Sincerely, Chyrl Ayers
I service over 300 students and operate the Financial Aid Office alone. Feedback I receive from parents is that they love customer service. Discussing financing your students education is already a headache, but having someone they can trust and give them a positive experience an positive attitude makes a big difference.
Kim,
It is great that you currently receive so much positive feedback. Good Strong Customer Skills are a necessity in the financial aid office; hwoever, the importance of processing timely and accurately are also a part of the overal student/parent success ratio.
Congratulation on your outstanding service feedback.
Sincerely Chyrl Ayers
Service is the most important to me, because students can attend another institution, but if we make a difference in service that will not only increase retention, but increase Admissions.
Elba,
Students do have a choice of what college to attend and it is important to provide good service. Service, accuracy and timeliness are all important aspects of the student experience.
Best wishes with your continued online educational process.
Sincerely, Chyrl
Timeline is the most important in the process.
It helps to keep track of the important filing deadline and ensure all of the awarding are distribution in the right time frame
Lisa,
Adhering to a timeline is extremely important to ensure that a student's FA process is completed timely; however, accuracy is an important aspect of the process. Ensuring that your students meet deadlines and address request in a timely manner will keep the financial aid process flowing in all aspects.
Best wishes in your continued education process.
Sincerely, Chyrl
For me,three of them are all important. We have to be Timely or we lose students.Accurate is also the important element because there is no mistakes to made and of course Service has to be the best. Student feel more interest since we provide the better service than other school. They have what they're asking for.
Virginia,
I agree all three aspects are critical to a successful student experieince. It is important that you and the FA staff set forth with timely, accurate processing and good customer service. Students should feel that all issues are handled in the best method possible.
Best wishes in your continued educational process online.
Sincerely,
Chyrl
While I think they are all 3 important parts of the FA picture,I think that Service is the most important. Providing a good experience to students, making them feel comfortable with you and your processes, and getting them prepared to start are vital roles that the FA office performs. In fact providing accurate and timely information can even be looked at as a part of providing good service
Hi Chuck,
As we all know, FA can be very intimidating. Providing excellent customer service and setting your student at ease helps them to absorb the information more clearly. Excellent response.
Chuck, Good answer. I could not agree with you more. Timeliness and accuracy are both part of providing the student good service. The students look to the financial aid office to guide them through the process and to ensure there are no road blocks to endure while they are working towards that diploma.
Good luck in completing this session.
David
I believe that all three go hand-in-hand. Timeliness is not of much good if there is inaccurate information presented on the correct timetable. Accuracy is crucial to the all financial information, but if it is not presented within reasonable or required timelines, it becomes worthless. Service is the reason that our job exists. We provide assistance to students and their families in obtaining funding for education as well as providing information to both the regulatory agencies and the school that employs us. One characteristic doesn't have more weight than the next, they all support each other.
Ruth,
Your comments reflect a well-rounded approach to financial aid and dealing with students and parents. It is important to balance all aspects when handling the students in the FA Office so the students will feel confident in your ability to address any and all concerns.
Best wishes in your continued online education process.
Sincerely, Chyrl
Hi Ruth, I totally agree with you regarding timeliness, accuracy and customer service. they do all go hand in hand. Our students depend on the knowledge of the financial aid office to help them through the FA process in a clear, concise and timely manner. Good luck in your continuing education. David
I think service is the most important part of our job. In my opinion, timeliness and accuracy are part of service along with attitude and caring.
Each is important. Timeliness and accuracy are two components of good service. Our school is a small school that is growing by leaps and bounds. At times the volume of applications is overwhelming but we try our best to meet the challenge. We have had our fair share of complaints but most pertain to the amounts of aid available to the student, not the service. It's been my experience that a lot of those complaints are the result of the stress and frustration the student is feeling and in some instances they just needed a sympathetic ear. I believe that in addition to timeliness and accuracy in delivery of services anything we can do to help the student alleviate the stress they're under falls into the good customer service category.
I must say that is a very interesting question that makes you think! All three have it importants but i would say service. Service leaves a lasting impression, it shows ownership, commitment, patients, understanding and the list can go on and on.
James,
I had hoped the questions would give each student the need to pause and consider what aspect is most important in their daily process. This type of questions has not wrong or right answer but is designed for each student to really think about where they place importance and the overal affect of that characteristic in the handling of the their peers and students. Your thoughts on service were very good and would lead to a great expereince for students.
Best wishes as you continue learning and growing in financial aid.
Sincerely, Chyrl
