Communication
Communication is important in every aspect of business and is equally as important in the world of Financial Aid. Staff must keep the students informed throughout their academic years to ensure that they understand their present and future obligations.
Jeffery,
Keeping up good communication with students and keeping them well informed is vital to the success of both the student and the institution. Establishing the relationship during enrollment and keeping the lines of communication open after will help keep the student on track with their responsibilities and will provide them comfort in knowing they have someone to turn to if they get into trouble. The student may also be more inclined to refer others to a place where they felt the staff really cared about and encouraged them.

We are constantly looking for new ways to increase communication with students, including social media and the school website. Offering links to Financial Aid from the webpage for a school’s library, bookstore, Admissions department, tutoring center, etc., can help remind students that the FA office is always available to assist them. Placing flyers, posters, or brochures in highly trafficked areas can also encourage students to communicate with us.
