An excellent point was made regarding busineses/industries initiating 2-3 year "apprenticeships" for those graduating from college.
Apprenticeships in the industrial complexes of our country have disappeared, especially over the last 20 years. Young men and women need not only higher learning through degrees but still need the "hands-on" experience which is so very important. roviding apprenticeship programs where companies hire and have new employees work with eperienced employees that can provide the hands-on training is one way to tackle the unemployment situation and, I believe, would provide a positve impact in helping the economy and college graduates.
