Great course. It had me really processing my path to leadership and how I can improve.
It was interesting to take the first lesson and realize that I do think more like a leader than a manager. However, I do have to implement a lot of managerial traits into daily activities to oversee the execution of district goals in my specific area. This was a great review.
I like this course alot ande learned to differentiate between the two.
I will try to apply what I learned to improve myself as a Faculty member.
I feel that knowing where you want to grow is only a part of the formula for success.

The consideration of emotional intelligence when leading is key and I will implement in my leadership.
Have always found that this type of management style works best when combined with the others.
I believe that natural born leaders can still be taught many differnt styles. It seems people get put into leardership rolls becuase people say that about them. Is that always the best decision?
I found this course interesting. I always had a foundational idea of the difference between leading and managing, but this course provided more insight. There are certain times when you need to be a manger, or a leader, or even both. I want to become an expert navigator in determing the right times to be what my team needs me to be for their growth, success, and meeting their goals.
Definitely taking a step back and understanding what type of leader you need to be for different followers and different situations.
I will implement better descriptions of the expected outcomes and learning for discussions and online materials. I will also make sure that the chat option is used so that we have more synchronized discussions. We had not done any of these in our current hybrid classes.
I have learned that I tend to try to lead when I need to manage. I believe this is the case for many others. It maybe vice versa, managing instead of leading; however, you need to recognize what you do by taking a self-assessment.
