In some ways all the technology has helped me become a more informed and probably a more well rounded instructor. Students are viewed as learners in a traditional classroom. Technology tools allows students along with instructors to become not only learners (absorbing information) but now researchers as well. There is room for more independent thinking through participation. However, some students may need support in this area. I have found that once students have participated in an on-line class then the second time around they excell in using the on-line tools. I have found it is kind of like driving a car without automatic steering to now driving with automatic steering.
