When Faculty and Staff realize how important they are in the eyes of a student, they would always be positive in words,  and actions. Learning occurs when a student is feeling free to make a mistake.  The student is free to learn in a positive atmosphere in the classroom.

The amosphere in the class room that we create can enhance or hender our student's learning.  When student's feel comfortable to ask questions or feel free to share comments that add to the topic that we are learning we all gain something. An instructor needs to be prepared and very knowledgeable about his/her subject in order to present the material and answer any question with complete ease. This builds report with students and helps gain their confidence in you as their instructor.

I agree.  I think as a faculty member we need to be aware of our HABES as well.  You need to let the students know that it is ok to make a mistake in the classroom.  This makes the classroom a positive place for students to be.

This class was useful and educational for me. These classes show me how non faculty staff can help with the retention process as well as faculty. How our actions impact procedures for a student to be treated respectfully and how the simplest of acts can make students feel respected and comfortable.
