The EL 102 course really helped me to further my knowledge of how to manage and maintain my courses and students online.  I have been teaching online for two years and I thought I had all the knowledge I needed until I took this course.  The one thing that stood out for me is finding out the different type of learners online i.e. noisy, avoiders, intimidators, and procrastinators.  The course really gave me great ideas on how to manage these different type of learners and how to resolve problems in the discussion forums.  These techniques really opened my eyes on how I can manage my discussion forums better and to manage conflicts that arise from these learners as well.  I finally know how to categorize the different types of learners and how to deal with them. 

I highly recommend this course for everyone because if you think you know everything about teaching online, you don't.
