Being a new instuctor is very different. Instead of listening to someone else all the time lecturing year after year, you get to actually listen to yourself and how you sound while persuading others to listen and comprehend. I suggest listening to yourself on a tape recorder to see how convincing you sound to yourself first, then presenting this to your class.

discuss the program with the prospect, find out and gather info so there is no persausion, hard facts that help a prospect make the right choice

I totally agree with the comment regarding transportation for students.  We really need to make sure students have reliable transporation.  We lose many students because they have no drivers license and their ride fell through.
