I have been an instructor for 25 years and a curriculum designer for 15 years. Designing backwards from what you what the students to know and do, including scaffolding assignments and incorporating formative and summative assessments leads to a well constructed course and increase student learning. Implementing rubrics and giving feedback enhances student learning. I plan on continuing this process when designing courses.
