Great Information

My previous career had nothing to do with teaching so much of this is very new to me.  These courses are extremely informative.  I am a lot more comfortable on campus doing what I do now.  I can't wait to take more courses!!!

I also have never taught before. I have found it challenging with great rewards. I enjoy incorparting "role play" into the subject matter. The students have fun and they retain information due to it being put in a "real life"format along with the fun. I enjoy watching their faces when the subject all of a sudden comes together for them, when it makes sense to them.

The information was very helpful to my career. I enjoy being able to take these courses online.

A lot of what I 'learned' in this course applies as well to the medical field, just with different names.  As a rule of thumb I have treated my students like patients, and the rules have worked.  This class, CM102, has reinforced that and provided me with the 'correct' terms and currently knowledge for the field of teaching.

Taking this course online, allowed me to do so at my pace and thus be more effective at retaining what I learned.  I recommend online classes to anyone that has enough self-discipline to do so.

I as well like this online format for learning.  This course confirmed for me that you can be an expert in your field yet not be completely equipped with the tools you need to be an adult educator.  Hopefully, we can get more development to be more successful adult learner instructors.
