Regardless of your position, it's very importatnt to have a general idea of what's going on, even if it doesn't directly relate to your day to day.  You never know what's going to come up.. 

I completely agree with Laura.  Although there was a lot of information to cover and remember, I think that the information is very important to our job as instructors because situations could come up, for instance, regarding third party access to students' records.  The information in this course has helped to prepare us for that type of situation.  So again, I know the course was lengthy, but it was also very informative and beneficial.
