I am finding it more and more important to management my stress and health to provide the best "me" for my students.
I agree whole heartedly! If we do not take care of ourselves, how can we be a good example to our students. I had some blood work last year that showed my cortisol levels were very high and that put me at risk for a stroke or a heart attack! This woke me up and I started learning healthy coping skills and ways to de-stress. I also took the Time and Stress Management Course offer at Max Knowledge. I am happy to say that I now have healthy blood levels and am much healthier!
Cynthia - so glad to hear about your improvement in health! @Butch - you are so right. I love how you said you need to take care of yourself to be the best "me" for your students - so true!
Health is so important - why then do you think so many forget to take care of themselves and let the stress consume them? Do they lack the coping skills? Do they simply "forget?" What do you think?
I use to think the old remedies were crazy but eating healthy and staying fit mentally and physically enables us to live longer without the health toubles. When you know better you should do better.
