Wonderful Course!

I really enjoyed taking this course! It gave me many ideas of how to handle common set backs from potential students. My favorite part was the reference to emotional intelligence. I believe that is such an important trait to have an admissions advisor. Thank you for this course, I have already started apply the knowledge I learned!

The course is good, but as an Instructor, it feels great when you have gone through the cirriculum before and then you can create your own teaching skills.

Hi Stephanie. So glad you enjoyed the course.  Continued success in all you do in admissions. You play such an important role in helping students truly change their lives.

I always learn something when taking these types of courses. I appreciate the feedback from the instructor and some of the student comments are valuble and thought provoking. In CM 112 I was happy to see the section on background checks becuase this has been a discussion we have had in a few of our meetings. It has always made sense to me that we should do checks on incoming students because if they have certain types of felonioes then they will not be able to get licensed. We disclose this to students but I think we need to take it one step further and do the checks so we don't admit anyone who will not be able to get licensed. Thank you!

I appreciated learning about how to build rapport with potential students.  The section on Principles of Global Listening is very relevant to the admissions officers.  We need to use listening skills to learn more about our students' environment before we can effectively guide them through the process.  Thank you for a great course!

The excersise of listening was very impactful for me. Having the ability to breakdown what a student is "really" telling me is a great tool to have.
