I am very glad I took this course as it helped reinforced what I have been doing in the past.  I am presently applying these practices in my online classes such as in the area of typical writing guide which includes making sure that my students are equipped with planning, preparation, the writing itself, researching information to be written, citing the sources, making revisions where necessary and finally completing the document for submission.

Other areas that I am using now is that of effective communication which involves clear, professional and appropriate language.  To engage student in effective communication, I am applying asynchronous communication tools which makes it easier for students to participate in the discussion at their own pace from any part of the world provided they meet the deadlines per the instructions in the particular assignment.  Here, it does not require students to be in the forum at the same time.
