It is important to be very familiar with the institution's and state's regulations in order to be transparent with the prospect. 

There should always be ongoing training - it's very important that everyone is on the same page on compliance and have a through knowledge of the catalog. Any loan issues should be directed to FA - transparency is the key. 

I learned how important is to introduce the prospective students to all departments that are going to be part of his or her success. 

I learned the importance of having a check list before the interview, also an admissions file with all forms need it. 

It's good to know where our students are coming from, in order for you to understand your candidates cultures.
