It is important to understand how different generations communicate.  It is inevitable that that there may be some miscommunications and or discipline when it comes to communicating.  

It is important to develop a code of communication.  These things come naturally in the face-to-face environment but this module taught me that establishing this in an onlline teacing environment is just as important.

There are many online resources provided to teachers and we are encouraged to use all of them. I need to spend more time determining which resources would benefit my students the most and not just using them simply because they are provided to me.

Resources my be adapted before using online. You cannot simply take your face-to-face course and use everything online.  It is important to adapt, revise, and evaluate to be sure you are offering the most engaging course you can.

This module clearly outlined many of the major responsibilities of an online instructor. These were helpful in giving a broad pciture of what is expected as an online instructor.

Synchronous and asynchronous learning are both valuable tools when teaching an online class.  Determing which one will be used is imprtant before designing a lesson.  Organizing appropriately can be impactful on the learning environment.

Course revision is important and you should not rely on only one source for feedback.  

Both formative and summative assessments are vital to teachers receiving an accurate depiction of student knowledge.  Rubics are also important for the students understand what the expectations are for the assignment and to receive the appropraite feedback on their assignments.

I learned the importance of design of the syllabus for maximum student success.  I definitely plan on revamping mine if i continue to teacch online this Fall.

Consistency is important when creating a course and modules.  Consistency helps students navigate through the course with ease.
