The  module focuses on the differences, advantages and disadvantages of synchronous and asynchronous discussions. iI also addresses the importance of and the appropriate ways of providing feedback to the participants.

The instructor has to establish authority by letting students know that he/she is a subject matter expert. Academic credentials, years of experience in the field and in teaching, and accomplishments related to both his/her field and in education will reassure the students that they will learn from you as the IOR. Knowing some information about your studnets: learning style, oher responsiblities, educational background and work experiences, etc. will better help you develop individual developmental plans as the IOR.

The modules include the requirements needed to deliver a successful course using the online format - system requirements, student oritentation, and the primary responsibiltiies of the instructor in managing the learning system. Also includes course structures common to online delivery of curriculum content/material.
