Intrinsic motivators contribute the most to a students security in the classroom

I have always told students that I believe in them...realizing it is much more about letting them know I am there to instill the confidence to believe in themselves

Creating an environment in your classroom where students are comfortable to try and also fail is the key to ultimately doing things correctly and doing them well.

Being an expert in a topic is useless if you cannot effectively communicate and explain the topic in ways that your students can clearly understand. Examples and alternate ways of explaining can help.

We often spend more time talking about how to deal with the students who are disengaged and behavior problems. It was nice to hear some strategies for how to effectively teach students who are very bright and engaged but may be taking opportunities away from other students by hoarding the spotlight.

I have always felt my syllabi were thorough and well done. This summer I need to recommit to making sure they are a tool for the student to instill clarity and confidence about the course and expectations.

I really liked the importance of reflecting after a lesson is taught to evaluate the lesson's anticipatied effectiveness and what actually happened...what worked and what didn't.

I also liked the video expressing the importance of helping students feel confident in sharing ideas with the class even if they do not consider themselves an expert. 

I always feel like when the summer comes I finnally get a chance to focus on ME. I start eating better, exercising regularly, making to-do lists that are enjoyable and not stressful. I would really like to focus hard on carrying these good habits into the school year as much as possible and not feel like my wellness is so seasonal

Sticking to my commitment to exercise each day will help me greatly with dealing with stress
