Allow students to have a dialogue in online forum discussions without replying to every single post. Don't keep inserting yourself into the conversation. Be a "guide on the side." :)

I like the idea of using a course templete to create a consistent environment and course approach that students will become familiar with and with each subsequent course they take that uses the template, it will aid them in knowing how to learn from the course. Smart! :))

I'm learning that time management is a crucial skill that instructors need to develope to be successful in teaching online.

This module dealt with barriers I haven't encountered. Instructor and student resistance to active learning. I've been using an active learning approach for four years now, and have not encountered student resistance... fortunately. Technology is key in making active learning work online. The lack of support of online instructors by F2F instructors was interesting. Good points there about online instructors being well supported.

I've learned that using both reflection and writing can be very helpful to improve active learning results with students.
