About me

I've been in the teaching profession for around 30 years and have taught elementary, middle school and adults.  I consider myself very lucky to be able to pull from so many different types of experiences and share some with my current students.

I had never taken an online coure before, but now have completed my third with CEE (ED104,105 &106) and was suprised at how easy it was to navigate through the courses.......It was a very good review!

Hi James......I agree with you.  There's so much emphasis on Learning Styles today that I realize I don't really know how every one of my students in any given class learns best, BUT whatever I teach, I keep in mind that all modalities must be used every night (or day) so that each student in front of me gets(hopefully) an equal shot at learning the material well.

Hi Gina........I have just finished this module in ED 106 and actually am excited to know that so much of what I've been doing in the classroom for many years is what is being suggested and taught for new teachers such as yourself. Sooo, these ideas from this module do work........use them and continue developing your own teaching style!!!

I too just finished ED105 and have got to say that the examples for the terms training, learning and education were well done. I guess even old dogs can learn new tricks!!

I recently completed ED 104 and learned that my experience (a LOT of it!!) jives with the information given in this course. Apparently, I have been applying most of this already...which is nice to know.

As for support from the college's staff, I couldn't ask for better!

I have been a teacher (mostly English or Math) for MANY years, so most of ED 104 was just a review of prior knowledge and practical experience.  I have never even attempted an online course before, and was relieved to see that it really wasn't difficult to navigate through :)
