It is essential to provide consistency when posting templates and online content for students. Consistency leads to ease of use and decrease fustration for students when they are navigating the online course.

When faciliating distant learning, unexpected challenges can arise from improper student participation to ineffective communication methods. Being equipped with the new management strategies suggested in this course, I feel I will be ready to effectively handle challenges that may arise in distant learning environments.

Providing asynchronous and synchronous instruction are both effective strategies in leading online discussions. However, it is important to know the goals of the discussion before choosing a strategy. For example, if you need to present new content, asynchronous instruction would be an appropriate approach, but if you need to clarify information to one student, synchronous discussion would be a great approach.

In order to build a community of learners in your online course, you need to have good rapport with the students. One way to build good rapport is through sharing a biography of yourself and then having students post a biography. I will apply my learning by using this strategy in my online course.

It is essential to have an elearning structure that is easy to follow and has clear directions. Students can encounter hardships and fustrations when the structure is not properly planned and presented. I am going to apply these new strategies by using the Module-Lesson set-up mentioned in the beginning of the course.
