As as educator of K-12 educators, I follow trends in the field via Twitter. It has been an invaluable addition to my life. In fact the US Department of Education sponsors a yearly (this is the second year) Connected Educators Month each year - see http://connectededucators.org/ . Teacher often work in silos of isolation (Sheryl Nussenbaum) and Twitter brings them out of the isolation to connect and share with; and learn from their peers. There are some principals on Twitter who state that they want their teachers to connect via Twitter and consider that factor as part of their hiring… >>>

I attempt to find tools for 21st century learning. Here is a resource Using e-Learning To Facilitate 21st Century Learning = http://www.slideshare.net/zaid/using-elearning-to-facilitate-21st-century-learning What are your thoughts about this?

I think there are so many more than four - for example, see The Ten Crucial Roles of the Online Instructor http://mindgatemedia.com/2011/03/14/the-ten-crucial-roles-of-the-online-instructor/
The problems I have seen with synchronous tools like webinars is that they tend to be teacher-centered. How can these tools be used to promote student-centric learning? For example, in my sessions, I give permission for students to use their webcams so they can discuss their thoughts and ideas with the rest of the group.
I attempt to continue to update the courses I develop to reflect current trends. For example, this past fall I developed and taught a course on Social Networked Learning - here is a blog post I wrote about it http://usergeneratededucation.wordpress.com/2012/11/18/educators-as-social-networked-learners/
I use them as a matter of course as I teach EdTech Here is a website/wiki I used for my gifted 3rd through 5th graders: Creative Web Tools For and By Kids. http://weewebwonders.pbworks.com/w/page/9067396/FrontPage If you click into the students individual pages found in the sidebar, you will see how they used these tools to describe their topics. I use Voicethread to have students reflect on their learnings Here is one from my undergraduate course on Interpersonal relations http://voicethread.com/?#u1025159.b2349919.i15073398

It has the potential to be a game changer! Did you review the resources about their use by Harvard and MIT - opens courses up to folks who may have not had opportunities to take courses from prestigious universities.
Love this video clip Randy Nelson on Learning and Working in the Collaborative Age http://www.edutopia.org/randy-nelson-school-to-career-video. He says that now he wants to see the proof in portfolios rather than the promise of a resume. By having students create artifacts of their learning, we are helping them develop an ePortfolio to show potential employers.
I provide a lot of options for student to use Web 2.0 tools like Voicethread, Animoto, Voki, Flickr to do their assignments. What have you used?
Who is using mobile devices in their classes? see http://usergeneratededucation.wordpress.com/2012/02/09/communication-activities-using-mobile-devices/ for some example activities I used in my course.
