jim perry i need to slow down and try not to please every one asap all the time it gets you tired and frustated. a to do list and a priority list is necessary

Try to make the student feel welcome and wanted in your class. let them talk about them selves and or what they expect from your course. then you can give them your outline of the course and what you expect of them.
You have to let them know you care that they are here. and that you will try to help them in any way you possably can to make being here a success.

We must set rules to be followed that is the same in all courses not just one. that way you set the pattern for the student.if one instructor allows one thing and then the others dont you create problems both for the students and other instructors...

From day 1 we need to let the student how important he is to us as a member of our student body. also help hum get over that fear of have i made a mistake comming to this school. some times just a smile or a good morning how are you makes all the differance in the world. to me there is nothing worse than someone going by me on a daly bases and they cant even say hi or good morning....

tell lively true stories of your past job exp. be lively move around. change your voice tone or pitch. ask for there exp in the topic or subject.try to pump them up with intersting points of info.

you should use as many props cutaways as you can. talk about your experience on the job and subject. so pictures movies demonstrate tasks ask for assistance with show and tell. ask for there stories or experiances.

i feel there is a connection between the student and the instructor. or there should be. the student needs to know that you are aware of him and his needs and wants.you do not need to be a dictator all the time but still be able to maintaine disapline. if they need help along the way help point them in the right direction if you can.
