What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I feel like i've heard many times in this module about the importance of communicaiton with students to let them know the expectations.  Reminding them that they are on an online course, which has different expectations than in a face to face course.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I learned about how to find the right tool to support student learning style and instructor teaching style. Unfortunately, some places are limited based on the LMS that they offer. For instance my school district offers Canvas and Google Classroom. One of my friends in a neighboring district can only use Schoology.

Sometimes we have to use the platform we have, but then also think about what we can do on that platform and what students can access on the platform.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I always asked for student feedback to change my course content or syllabus. I never really thought about asking parents or the institution about what I should change in my course. That's an interesting perspective.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I didn't necessarily "learn" anything new from this, but became more aware of the importance of having rubrics developed that show the students what they need to know and learn from the lesson objectives.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I liked the idea of having a dynamic syllabus. Too many times, i feel like i stick to the syllabus and i sometimes forget tthat sometimes student suggestions could change how i teach things.  The idea of adding student voice is very important.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I think i learned more about the importance of having consistency on your online course site. It makes me want to look at what i am doing on my school Canvas page and make it more consistent for my students.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I think the best thing i learned from this module is the idea of "Online Behavior Managment" and learning about the different kind of behaviors you may encounter online and how to address those behaviors.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I literally have never heard of asynchronous vs synchronous learning.  After this module, i know what they are and use them in my actual classroom environment, but it's interesting to hear it be called something.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I liked the idea of "projecting your authority" as the course instructor by inserting yourself in the LMS.  I also liked the idea of students creating some sort of biographical description that other students can access. I do something similar with FlipGrid and think that i can enhance my 1st day activity to include more biographical information.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I wouldn't say I learned a lot from this module. I use Canvas regularly with my students. If anything, i liked the list of things that instructors should be doing. It changes my view of how i use a LMS with my class and how it is different from an online only class.
