The Rubrics is a great way to provide feedback to students, provide a consistent grading system, due to the objectives that are established for all students. 

Scaffolding is a great way to help students use their prior knowledge and apply it to new the material. 

Being consistent on the learning materials in modules is important for students. This helps student understand how to navigate the module and find the information within all modules.

Communications and trades is very important to a self employed trades person or employee trades person. Communication can prevent injuries in the shop, productivity increases, and customer service is upgraded to have good relationships with customers and future business. 

Technology and online learning is a upgraded approach to learning trade skills. This adds more value to practical learning, which increases problem solving and critical thinking skills. 

Contextual learning is a needed skill and lesson to a trades skills online program. It's other context that add understanding other than the trade skill being taught. For example, Its important to teach students diesel engines, brakes, and other systems. However, its also import to teach the students the decsion making when to replace the brakes in a fleet. Is it within specs for D.O.T. ? Basically, teaching the students how to become an asset to the fleet and not a liabilty regarding cost. 

This lesson on Teaching Skills and Trades online is very interesting. Create curiosity in your lesson and teaching for your students is one of many great ways to keep the lesson or teaching mentally engaging. However, the one that resonated with me most is trades people need develop skills in discussion. Many trades people lack in this skill, at times when one is training on the job, the trainers can be harsh or lack patience. Usually, the trainee is not understand the trainer, because the trainer lacks proper discussion skills. I have witness new instructors lacking this skill. This skill… >>>
