having students working in groups can be a very benificial exercise as students exchange ideas, it is also easier to monitor as you move around the room, pausing to give feedbcak or answer questions in a more one on one enviroment

there is a difference between floating and just pacing up and down which can become distracting, floating shows the whole class is involved not just the front row maintainng eye contact to long can become uncomfotable for the student but 2 to 3 seconds is enough to let them know you welcome their involment, acknowledge them and are maybe waiting for a reply

eye contact is important to give students time to answer questions or become involved it the lecture, it also shows that all studens are included. But not to a point were it is the same students you are making eye contact with. eye contact is that personal conection for each student bearing in mind some students do not feel comfortable with this technique, maybe shy, nervous or a cultural influence

one stressor thet could be eliminated si deciding on the correct course text books, many time there are books being used that instructors do not have confidence in, some use the book some do not some openly critique the book, this a stressor for the students

I find assessing students using multiple choice and true/false is time consuming to set up but is more time efficient to grade and there is only one answer. having students grade each others papers can be a good exercise in time saving but also enables students the chance to review and get clarification on topics they were uncertain on

with so many demands on the instructor's time and many last minute demands it is vital that tasks are listed, prioritized and th elist constantly updated. students expect work back promptley and it keeps a current flow of dialogue between instructor and student rather than handing back work all at once when other work has been undertaken by the students and that si where there main focus is. having a clean organized desk at the end of the day is better for you, you rcollegues and students as yuo all face another day

it si important not to just read from seach slide, not rush through the presentation no more than fivepionts per slide

giving students timely feedback on test scores and projects motivates them by keeping up their motivation level and keeping them focused
