I feel that if a program offered is going to require a prospective student to successfully pass a background check, this should be performed in the early stages of enrollment so a student is not left with financial obligations that they would not have incurred if they knew the background check would hinder them from attending or seeking employment in that certain field of study.

I believe that providing the students with all information (good and bad) should be required to let them make the most informed decision before enrolling in a program. Honesty is the best policy and misleading a prospective student is not just hurting them but the institution as well. I also believe the student should understand all financial obligations and no hidden fees should be allowed. Student should know all requirements and know if the qualify for the program before pursuing entrants, and if any financial assistance is available before deciding to attend.
