This is a beautiful lesson. I am learning communication has a purpose and it is a form of art with theories/models backed by research.
Do not make decisions for students.
I noticed that having a psychological contact with student is the first step.There must be some common thread to attach the coach with the student, otherwise nothing else works.
Communication is critical.
I definitely like the idea of a mock interview for students and I liked the questions that students can ask the employer.
Avoid the 'Available Upon Request' section on a resume.
I like to talk to people who have previously worked for a company. Many times these individuals have nothing to gain or hide by telling you things you should consider.
The key thing is to use your contacts. Many of the people we know, knows somebody who somebody, almost the 'six degrees' of separation type of thing, in getting a person the opportunity they are looking for.
